SA20 2027 squads currently contain 94 announced players across six teams. Durban’s Super Giants and Paarl Royals have completed their 19-player rosters. Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape still have places to fill at the 7 October 2026 auction. JSK also have a wildcard to announce.

The six lists total 94 players out of 114 squad places. The 20 vacancies comprise 19 auction places and JSK’s separate wildcard. That is why JSK have seven places open but only six to fill at the auction.
The lists below follow the official SA20 Season 5 squad announcement. “Retained” identifies a player kept by the franchise; “pre-signed” identifies an addition agreed before the auction. Wildcards are labelled separately within the same squad, so each player is counted once.

What remains before the squads are complete?
The 7 October auction will add six players each to Joburg Super Kings and MI Cape Town, five to Pretoria Capitals and two to Sunrisers Eastern Cape. JSK must also name their wildcard by 30 December 2026.
