SA20 2027 Venues: Six Stadiums, Home Teams and Final Ground
SA20 2027 will be played at six South African grounds: Newlands, SuperSport Park, Kingsmead, St George’s Park, Wanderers and Boland Park. Betway SA20 Season 5 runs from 17 January to 21 February, with 34 matches. St George’s Park hosts the opener, while Newlands hosts the final.

Each ground has five league matches. Wanderers has seven matches in total, including two playoffs; Newlands and Boland Park each have six, including their knockout fixture. Kingsmead, SuperSport Park and St George’s Park each host five.

Which venues host the SA20 2027 playoffs and final?
The SA20 2027 final is at Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday, 21 February. Boland Park hosts Qualifier 1, while Wanderers stages the Eliminator and Qualifier 2.

Boland Park will stage an SA20 playoff for the first time. The venues are confirmed in the league’s Season 5 fixture announcement; the participating teams will be determined during the competition.

A closer look at the six grounds
Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town
Newlands is the home of MI Cape Town, in Cape Town’s southern suburbs. The Table Mountain backdrop is its best-known feature, but seating choice also shapes the experience.
The league’s visitor guide identifies the upper North Stand and President’s Pavilion as shaded options. The Oaks embankment offers grass viewing, while the smaller North West Grass area is popular with families. Check the match’s seating plan before selecting a section.

SuperSport Park, Centurion
SuperSport Park and Centurion Park are two names for the same ground, home to Pretoria Capitals. The stadium is in Centurion, between Pretoria and Midrand.
Large grass embankments are a defining feature. Fans who prefer a conventional seat can look at the northern grandstand. SA20’s venue guide describes the ground as favourable for batting, citing its altitude, pitch and fast outfield; that is background context, not a prediction for every match.

Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban
Kingsmead is the home of Durban’s Super Giants, near the edge of Durban’s central business district. Its coastal setting brings a different summer environment from the inland grounds.
The ground offers both stands and grass viewing areas. The East Stand and adjoining embankment feature in SA20’s spectator guide, with food and drink outlets around the East Stand and North Pavilion. Check the current seating map for your ticket category.

St George’s Park, Gqeberha
St George’s Park hosts Sunrisers Eastern Cape and the opening match of Season 5. Gqeberha is the city formerly known as Port Elizabeth, which still appears in older ground records.
The brass band and Orange Army supporters give the ground its distinctive atmosphere. The Old Stand places spectators close to that noise, while the grass area running towards the Duckpond Pavilion offers another way to watch.

Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg
Wanderers, nicknamed the Bullring, is the home of Joburg Super Kings. Its two playoff fixtures make Johannesburg the busiest venue by match count in Season 5.
SA20’s ground guide highlights the grass embankment in front of the Western Pavilion for families and the Open East Stand for a livelier crowd. Unity and Memorial stand seating provides alternatives close to concessions.

Boland Park, Paarl
Boland Park is the home of Paarl Royals, on Paarl’s eastern outskirts. Its first SA20 playoff adds Qualifier 1 to the Royals’ five home league matches.
Much of the viewing area is grass embankment. For shade, the league’s guide points to the western Main Grandstand and partially covered areas of the North Stand. Spectators choosing grass tickets should plan for time in the sun.

Tickets, seating and getting to the ground
SA20’s early-access ticket registration page is available for Season 5. Registration is a step towards the pre-sale, not a purchased match ticket.
Before travelling, check your match’s ticket information for the entrance gate, opening time, reserved or unreserved seating, accessibility arrangements and permitted items. Confirm parking or transport arrangements for that fixture rather than relying on an older season’s map.
All six venues use South African Standard Time, SAST, which is UTC+2. A local match time therefore means the same time across every host city.
